New Season Underway
The NLTTA welcomes everyone to another season and wish all a good season. The first tournament of the season is in the books.
September 26, 2027 saw over 30 competitors converge on Conne River for the 2026 Central Open. The tournament featured 11 events ranging from ratings events, age events and Team NL Qualification events.

Next up on the agenda is the Eastern Open in Clarenville scheduled for October 17. Registration details can be found by clicking the button below and please keep in mind the registration deadline is October 9, 2026. We look forward to seeing you there.
Busy 2026-27 Season Is On Tap
As previously mentioned the season has started in earnest and it looks like we got a schedule that should keep everyone on their toes.
The Canada Games squad is gearing up for February and the 2027 Games in Quebec City. For up to date info on the games stay tuned to our social media platforms as well as the NLTTA Canada Games Page.
Also of note is that Newfoundland and Labrador will be hosting the 2027 Atlantic Table Tennis Championships. They are set for May 22-23, 2027 and will be held in Paradise at the Rotary Paradise Youth and Community Centre. More info on the event will be available as the date approaches.
Congrats to the New Brunswick Table Tennis Association as they will be hosting the 2027 Junior and Senior Canadian Championships in Moncton. Considering that this is literally next door to NL this is a great opportunity for NL table tennis athletes. Mark your calendars for July as this is sure to be an amazing experience.
Table Tennis For Hope Charity Event
What started as months of planning, organizing, and preparation finally came together on August 15, 2026 and because of every single person who showed up, played, volunteered, donated, supported, and believed in what we were trying to accomplish, we were able to raise $1,507 for the Canadian Cancer Society, surpassing our $1,500 goal.

This award is especially meaningful. The Claire LeBlanc Sportsmanship Award recognizes someone who represents what this tournament is truly about, respect, kindness, encouragement, and making sure that everyone feels welcome at the table. Congratulations, Liam. You truly embodied the spirit of the event.
Ali Alburaki, the Founder & Director of Table Tennis for Hope provided the following statement about the event:
I also want to thank every player who travelled to be there, every volunteer who gave their time, everyone who helped set up and take down, everyone who donated prizes or food, everyone who purchased raffle tickets or something from the canteen, and everyone who simply showed their support. Most importantly, thank you for helping turn table tennis into something bigger than a sport. I’m incredibly proud of what we accomplished together, and I hope this is only the beginning.

2027 Canada Games
The countdown is on for the 2027 Games. The Canada Games Council has named Québec City as the official Host city of the 2027 Canada Winter Games, marking a return to the birthplace of the Canada Games 60 years after the inaugural event held in 1967. From February 27 - March 14, the province of Quebec will host the Canada Games for a fourth time.

Coach: Jeremy Lehr
Jeremy Lehr will be leading the team as head coach in 2027. This will be his second Canada Games as head coach for the Team NL Table Tennis Team as he was head coach in CWG23 in PEI.
Manager: Divine Aseo
Divine Aseo will be the team manager for the Canada Games 2027 in Québec City. This will be her first time as a manager for the Team NL Table Tennis Team. Four years ago Divine participated in the PEI Canada Games as an athlete for Team NL.
