Wow time flies! The fourth tournament of the season, Glovertown Open, just wrapped up. Close to 50 competitors competed in eleven events which featured a large number of Juniors competing. See the gallery below for some of the Juniors in action.
There are TWO scheduled NLTTA Tournaments coming up. First up is the Avalon Open set for February 14 in Carbonear. The registration deadline of February 6 is quickly approaching so head on over to the Registration Portal to get your registration completed for the tournament which will surely be an action packed event.
Just five weeks later, the NL Closed is set for March 21 in Paradise at the Rotary Paradise Youth and Community Centre. Keep an eye out for the tournament information and registration details, which will be announced soon.
Premier's Athletic Award
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! Way to go Divine Aseo and Peter Quinlan!!!!!
Tony Wakeham, Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, celebrated the athletic achievements of more than 100 young athletes from across the province at the 21st annual Premier's Athletic Awards that were presented at The Fieldhouse in St. John's. Among the recipients were two NLTTA members, Divine and Peter. Congrats to both of you.
Training Opportunity Set For Labrador
Hopedale will be the place to be to avail of some excellent training sessions scheduled for February 20-22, 2026. Jeremy Lehr, Canada Games 2026 Team NL Coach, will be accompanied by David Milley and Jiaqi Mu in which they will provide three days of table tennis training.
