NL Closed Is In The Books

We have made it through the NLTTA sanctioned tournaments. We started in October in Trout River on the west coast and concluded on the east coast with the NL Closed in Paradise.
The recent NL Closed exceeded 60 athletes competing in 13 events which made for a full action packed day of competition. Complete results of the tournament can be found on the NL Closed results page. April 23rd - World Table Tennis Day

First launched in 2015, World Table Tennis Day has become a global celebration of friendship, inclusiveness, and the pure joy of playing table tennis.
World Table Tennis Day held on April 23rd every years is in honor of Ivor Montagu who was the founder of the International Table Tennis Foundation. We hope you enjoyed the day with your fellow table tennis friends as you celebrate table tennis.
Atlantic Championships Up Next
Next up is the Atlantic Table Tennis Championships set for May17-18, 2025 at Auburn Drive High School in Dartmouth, NS. Stay tuned to the Team NL page on our website and of course our socials for the latest info as we get closer to the date.

Women Coach Mentorship Program And Training Opportunities
As mentioned in earlier blogs and on our socials Divine Aseo is taking part in Table Tennis Canada's Women Coach Mentorship Program. She was recently highlighted by Table Tennis Canada in an excellent article. The article can be found on their website and a link is provided here. Meanwhile in the St. John's/Metro area Divine Aseo, Peter Quinlan and Jiaqi Mu run clinics on Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Jiaqi runs the training session on Monday evenings(7:00-10:30 pm) at the Paradise Table Tennis Club and on Thursday Divine leads the training session at the MUN Fieldhouse. While on Saturdays, Peter and Divine run the sessions at the MUN Fieldhouse. The trio of coaches are looking for more players interested in joining the current group of players, so if you are interested, know someone who is or just need some more info please contact Divine Aseo at aseo.d2006@yahoo.com
These are tremendous opportunities for all junior players and is an excellent time to start preparing for the upcoming NLTTA tournaments and the 2027 Canada Winter Games.
