Hello fellow paddlers, the fall is behind us and winter looks like it is just around the corner. We have had a busy fall with three NLTTA sanctioned tournaments including a stop in the central region of the island portion of the province which was the first time in a few years.
The NL Closed is set for March 29 at the Rotary Paradise Youth and Community Centre in Paradise. Stay tuned for more info as the date approaches.
Midseason Tournament Recap
We have reached the unofficial midpoint of the NLTTA season. Three tournaments are in the books with stops in western, eastern and central regions of the island portion of the province.
The Central Open was held in Springdale on December 7. The tournament attracted over thirty talented athletes, each representing a diverse array of eastern and western regions, as well as various communities situated in between. The competition was fierce, showcasing the dedication and skill of the participants resulting in many thrilling and competitive matches. Canada Games 2027
The next Canada Games cycle has begun for the 2027 games, hosted by Quebec fast approaching.
Jeremy Lehr, the 2023 Canada Games coach has started the process of identifying potential athletes. He will be offering FREE table tennis training camps for youth, targeting Canada Winter Games 2027 eligible athletes on select Saturdays and/or Sundays until the end of June 2025. To be eligible to attend you must be a permanent resident of the province and born between the years 2008 - 2015, inclusive. These are primarily for west coast athletes, however anyone is welcome. These training sessions are in Trout River at Jakeman All Grade School.

The holiday season is upon us. The Newfoundland and Labrador Table Tennis Association wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and hope that you were not on the Naughty List!
